What is the Thiruvonam (Onam) Bumper?

The Thiruvonam Bumper is the Kerala State Lottery’s biggest annual bumper, drawn around the Onam season. Its 2026 edition, BR-111, paid a ₹30 crore first prize. That was the largest first prize of any Kerala bumper in 2026.

Thiruvonam is the main day of Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala. The lottery is better known as the Onam Bumper. Its official name on the result sheet is Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery. Every Onam Bumper ticket starts with the letter T, and every draw code starts with BR.

The Directorate of State Lotteries runs the draw at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram. Results come out on the same day. The Kerala Government Gazette publishes the winning numbers.

When was the Onam Bumper 2026 drawn, and when is the next one?

The Onam Bumper 2026, BR-111, was drawn on Saturday 26 September 2026 at 2 PM. The official result sheet followed at 5:26 PM. The next Onam Bumper is the 2027 edition, and its date comes with its government notification.

The last three Onam Bumpers fell between late September and mid-October:

• BR-99: Wednesday 9 October 2024, 2 PM.
• BR-105: Saturday 4 October 2025, 1 PM.
• BR-111: Saturday 26 September 2026, 2 PM.

BR-105 is the one exception to the 2 PM bumper time in these sheets. Its official sheet records a 1:00 PM draw. Every date above comes from the official result sheet of that draw.

What time does the Onam Bumper result come out?

The Onam Bumper result comes out in two steps. The winning numbers are read out live during the draw on the official YouTube channel. The full result sheet follows about three hours later. The BR-111 sheet was generated at 5:26 PM, and the BR-105 sheet at 4:30 PM.

What are the Onam Bumper 2026 ticket price, first prize and series?

An Onam Bumper 2026 ticket cost ₹500, according to The Hindu and Onmanorama. The first prize was ₹30 crore. Both papers report 90 lakh tickets printed. The tickets came in 10 series.

The 10 BR-111 series were TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL. The letters F and I were not used as series letters. A full ticket number has the two series letters and six digits, such as TL 360615.

A ₹500 Onam ticket costs 10 times a weekly ticket of ₹50. Its first prize is 30 times the weekly first prize of ₹1 crore.

What is the Onam Bumper prize structure?

The Onam Bumper 2026 had 9 prize tiers plus a consolation prize. The top 5 tiers need the full ticket number. The 6th to 9th prizes need only the last four digits.

The consolation prize of ₹5 lakh went to 360615 in the 9 series other than TL. The 2nd and 3rd prizes had two winners in each series. The 4th and 5th prizes had one winner in each series. In all, the BR-111 sheet lists 664 winning numbers.

How did the Onam Bumper prizes change from 2025 to 2026?

The first prize rose and the third prize fell between BR-105 and BR-111. The official sheets show these changes:

• First prize: ₹25 crore in BR-99 and BR-105, ₹30 crore in BR-111.
• Third prize: ₹50 lakh in BR-99 and BR-105, ₹25 lakh in BR-111.
• Second prize: ₹1 crore for 20 tickets in all three editions.
• Consolation prize: ₹5 lakh in all three editions.

Where were the BR-111 winning tickets sold?

The BR-111 first prize ticket, TL 360615, was sold in Kannur. The 60 other full-ticket prizes, from the 2nd to the 5th, were sold in 23 places across Kerala. The official sheet prints the place of sale next to each ticket.

1. Ernakulam: 7 tickets, including 2 second prizes (TB 439962, TH 902375).
2. Palakkad: 6 tickets, including 3 second prizes (TC 810428, TD 279706, TL 792519).
3. Chittur: 5 tickets, including 4 third prizes.
4. Thrissur: 5 tickets, including 2 second prizes (TA 300530, TJ 978616).

Kannur sold 3 winning tickets: the first prize, a third prize (TL 214267) and a fifth prize (TL 914962). All three were TL tickets. The place on the sheet is where the ticket was sold, not where the winner lives.

Which tickets won the earlier Onam Bumpers?

The last three Onam Bumper first prizes went to TG 434222, TH 577825 and TL 360615. Each was sold in a different district. The official sheets name the ticket and the place of sale, never the winner.

How do you check an Onam Bumper ticket?

An Onam Bumper ticket is checked against the official result of the draw code printed on it. Check the full number first, then the last four digits.

1. Read the draw code and date on the ticket. A BR-111 ticket wins only in the 26 September 2026 draw.
2. Enter the full number, such as TL 360615, in the checker at the end of this page.
3. Compare the six digits with the first prize in every series. A match in another series wins the ₹5 lakh consolation prize.
4. Check the last four digits against the 6th to 9th prize lists.
5. Confirm any win on the LOTIS public result page. The Bhagya Keralam app checks a ticket by scanning its QR code.

How much of the ₹30 crore reaches the winner, and how is it claimed?

About ₹18,90,00,000 of the ₹30 crore first prize reaches the winner, by our estimate. The agent’s commission comes off first. Tax at 30% is then deducted at source.

Prizes above ₹10,000 lose 10% agent commission, according to Onmanorama. 30% TDS is then deducted from the rest. Surcharge and 4% cess are settled in the income tax return.

Prizes from BR-111 must be claimed by 25 December 2026 (81 days left).

The TDS applies to prizes above ₹10,000, under Section 393(3) of the Income-tax Act 2025 (formerly Section 194B). The ₹30 crore first prize is claimed with the Director of State Lotteries in Thiruvananthapuram. The ₹1 crore second and ₹25 lakh third prizes go to the Deputy Director. The Kerala Paper Lotteries (Regulation) Amendment Rules 2024 set these limits in Rule 9. A bank can submit the claim for the winner. The ticket goes in within 90 days of the draw. How is the Onam Bumper different from a weekly Kerala lottery?

The Onam Bumper differs from a weekly lottery in price, prize size, draw time and frequency. It is drawn once a year at 2 PM. The 7 weekly lotteries are drawn every week at 3:00 PM.

• Ticket: ₹500 for the Onam Bumper 2026, against ₹50 for a weekly ticket.
• Second prize: ₹1 crore for 20 Onam tickets, the same amount as one weekly first prize.
• Series: 10 Onam series, against 12 in each weekly draw.
• Draw day: the weekly draw of that day is skipped. There was no Karunya draw on 26 September 2026.

How do you spot a fake Onam Bumper offer?

A fake Onam Bumper offer sells tickets online or asks for a fee to release a prize. Real tickets are paper tickets from authorised agents and sellers in Kerala. The Lottery Director stated in October 2025 that the department has no tie-up with any website or app.

Kerala Police found 60 fake apps, 25 fake Facebook profiles and 20 websites in August 2024. These sold fake ₹40 tickets and announced fake ₹5 lakh wins. Victims then received demands for GST or stamp duty. Kerala Police warned in July 2026 that fake sites copy the official design and emblem. Report such offers on helpline 1930. Which bumper comes after the Onam Bumper?

The Pooja Bumper BR-112 follows the Onam Bumper. It is drawn on 28 November 2026 at 2 PM, with a ₹12 crore first prize.
