What is the Christmas-New Year Bumper?

The Christmas-New Year Bumper is the Kerala State Lottery’s winter bumper, drawn in January or February. Its tickets sell over Christmas. Its first prize was ₹20 crore in each of the last three editions. Its tickets start with the letter X.

The official name changes with each edition. The government notification calls the 2025-26 edition “X’Mas – New Year Bumper Lottery 2025-26 (BR-107)”. The result sheet shortens it to X MAS NEW YEAR BUMPER. One edition spans two calendar years. Searches for “Christmas Bumper 2026” and “New Year Bumper 2026” mean the same lottery.

The Christmas-New Year Bumper is one of 6 Kerala bumpers a year. The others are the Summer, Vishu, Monsoon, Thiruvonam and Pooja Bumpers. Each bumper draw gets a code starting with BR.

When is the Christmas-New Year Bumper drawn?

The Christmas-New Year Bumper is drawn in late January or early February, at 2 PM. The draw takes place at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram. The last three editions were drawn on these dates:

  • BR-101 (2024-25): Wednesday 5 February 2025.
  • BR-107 (2025-26): Saturday 24 January 2026.
