How much does a Kerala lottery ticket cost?

A weekly Kerala lottery ticket costs ₹50. The same price applies to all 7 weekly lotteries, from Bhagyathara on Monday to Samrudhi on Sunday. Bumper tickets cost more, for example ₹300 for the Pooja Bumper BR-112.

The ticket price buys one 6-digit number in one series of one draw. A ₹50 ticket carries a first prize of ₹1 crore. That first prize is the same for every weekly lottery. The differences between lotteries sit lower down the prize list.

Only authorised agents and sellers inside Kerala sell the tickets. According to the Directorate’s LOTIS FAQ, the public cannot buy tickets on its portal. No website or app is authorised to sell Kerala lottery tickets online.

How are Kerala lottery prizes won?

Kerala lottery prizes are won in two ways: by the full number or by the last 4 digits. The first, second and third prizes need the series letters and all 6 digits. Prizes 4 to 9 depend on the last 4 digits alone.

Every weekly draw has 10 prize tiers, counting the consolation prize. The official result sheet prints the tiers in this order. This table shows how each tier of a Karunya draw is won.

Karunya prize structure, from the KR-770 result sheet (12 series)
PrizeAmountHow it is won
1st prize₹1,00,00,000Full ticket: letters and 6 digits
Consolation prize₹5,000Same 6 digits as the 1st prize, in the other 11 series
2nd prize₹25,00,000Full ticket: letters and 6 digits
3rd prize₹10,00,000Full ticket: letters and 6 digits
4th prize₹5,000Last 4 digits: 19 numbers drawn
5th prize₹2,000Last 4 digits: 6 numbers drawn
6th prize₹1,000Last 4 digits: 25 numbers drawn
7th prize₹500Last 4 digits: 76 numbers drawn
8th prize₹200Last 4 digits: 92 numbers drawn
9th prize₹100Last 4 digits: 144 numbers drawn

What does “last 4 digits” mean on a result sheet?

A last-4-digits prize goes to every ticket ending in a drawn 4-digit number. The sheet heads this part “For the tickets ending with the following numbers”. The series letters do not matter for these tiers. A ticket KF 120585 and a ticket KA 990585 both win when 0585 is drawn for the 4th prize.

Can one ticket win two prizes in the same draw?

No. One ticket wins only its highest prize in a draw. Rule 9 of the Kerala Paper Lotteries (Regulation) Rules 2005 sets this limit. A ticket whose full number wins the 3rd prize does not collect a lower ending prize as well.

Why do the prize lists differ between weekly lotteries?

The weekly prize lists differ in 2nd and 3rd prize amounts and in 8th and 9th prize counts. The first prize, consolation prize and 4th to 7th prizes are identical across all 7 weekly lotteries.

Which lotteries pay a different 2nd or 3rd prize?

Karunya and Samrudhi pay a ₹25 lakh 2nd prize, while the other 5 weekly lotteries pay ₹30 lakh. Karunya pays a ₹10 lakh 3rd prize. The other 6 weekly lotteries pay ₹5 lakh. Samrudhi SM-75 pays a ₹25 lakh 2nd prize and a ₹5 lakh 3rd prize.

Why do the 8th and 9th prize counts change from lottery to lottery?

Each lottery draws a fixed number of 8th and 9th prize endings, and that number differs by lottery. Every draw of a lottery repeats its own counts. These counts come from the official sheets of August to October 2026.

  • Bhagyathara: 94 endings for ₹200 and 144 for ₹100.
  • Sthree Sakthi: 90 endings for ₹200 and 150 for ₹100.
  • Dhanalekshmi: 96 endings for ₹200 and 138 for ₹100.
  • Karunya Plus: 84 endings for ₹200 and 156 for ₹100.
  • Suvarna Keralam: 92 endings for ₹200 and 144 for ₹100.
  • Karunya: 92 endings for ₹200 and 144 for ₹100.
  • Samrudhi: 92 endings for ₹200 and 150 for ₹100.

These counts set the total. A weekly Kerala lottery draw has between 374 and 382 winning numbers. Samrudhi has the most winning numbers at 382. Dhanalekshmi has the fewest at 374.

How does the Kerala lottery consolation prize work?

The consolation prize is ₹5,000 for the first-prize number in every other series. A weekly draw has 12 series, so 11 tickets win it. The 6 digits must match the first prize exactly; only the series letters differ.

In Karunya KR-770, KF 335755 won the first prize. KA 335755, KB 335755 and KC 335755 each won the consolation prize, as did 8 more series. The consolation prize is the reason one draw pays 12 tickets with the same 6 digits.

How is a bumper prize structure different from a weekly one?

A bumper prize structure is larger at every tier and pays more full-number prizes. The Thiruvonam (Onam) Bumper BR-111 paid a ₹30 crore first prize. Its 2nd to 5th prizes went to 60 full ticket numbers.

Thiruvonam (Onam) Bumper prize structure, from the BR-111 result sheet (10 series)
PrizeAmountHow it is won
1st prize₹30,00,00,000Full ticket: letters and 6 digits
Consolation prize₹5,00,000Same 6 digits as the 1st prize, in the other 9 series
2nd prize₹1,00,00,000Full ticket: 20 winning tickets
3rd prize₹25,00,000Full ticket: 20 winning tickets
4th prize₹5,00,000Full ticket: 10 winning tickets

8th prize₹1,000Last 4 digits: 138 numbers drawn
9th prize₹500Last 4 digits: 306 numbers drawn

The BR-111 bumper differs from a weekly draw in 4 ways.

  • Series: 10 series (TA to TL) instead of 12.
  • Full-number prizes: 20 second prizes of ₹1 crore and 20 third prizes of ₹25 lakh.
  • Consolation: ₹5 lakh each, for the first-prize number in the other 9 series.
  • Endings: 4-digit prizes run from ₹5,000 down to ₹500, with 306 endings in the lowest tier.

Kerala runs 6 bumpers a year: Christmas-New Year, Summer, Vishu, Monsoon, Thiruvonam and Pooja. Bumper draws take place at 2:00 PM, not at the weekly 3:00 PM.

The next bumper draw is the Pooja Bumper BR-112 on 28 November 2026 at 2:00 PM. That is 54 days away. Pooja Bumper draw date and prize structure.

What is the highest Kerala lottery prize?

The highest Kerala lottery prize in 2026 is the ₹30 crore first prize of the Thiruvonam (Onam) Bumper. Ticket TL 360615, sold in Kannur, won it in the BR-111 draw on 26 September 2026. The weekly first prize is ₹1 crore.

The Pooja Bumper BR-112 offers a ₹12 crore first prize. Its draw is on 28 November 2026, with series JA to JE. Each bumper page lists its own prize structure and latest result.

How much of the prize money reaches the winner?

The winner receives the prize minus the agent’s commission and 30% TDS. Tax is deducted at 30% on prizes above ₹10,000. The law is Section 393(3) of the Income-tax Act 2025 (formerly Section 194B). Prizes of ₹10,000 or less have no TDS deducted.

All 6 ending prizes of a weekly draw fall at or below ₹10,000. The 4th prize of ₹5,000 and the consolation prize of ₹5,000 sit at the agent claim limit. Exact take-home amounts for any prize are on the Kerala lottery tax calculator. The office that pays each amount is in how to claim a Kerala lottery prize.

Where do you see the prizes of one draw?

Each weekly lottery hub shows its latest full result under the same prize structure. The Kerala lottery ticket checker compares a ticket with every tier from the last 90 days. Former names of today’s lotteries, such as Win-Win and Akshaya, are on the former Kerala lotteries page.
