What is the Monsoon Bumper?
The Monsoon Bumper is the Kerala State Lottery’s mid-year bumper, drawn in July. Its first prize is ₹10 crore. It is named after the rainy season. Its tickets start with the letter M.
The Monsoon Bumper is the fourth of the 6 Kerala bumpers in the year. It comes after the Vishu Bumper and before the Thiruvonam Bumper. It is the smallest of the four 2026 bumpers whose notifications we hold, by prize money. Its draw code starts with BR, such as BR-110 in 2026.
When is the Monsoon Bumper drawn?
The Monsoon Bumper is drawn at 2 PM in the second half of July. The draw takes place at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram. The last three official sheets record these dates.
- BR-98: Wednesday 31 July 2024.
- BR-104: Wednesday 23 July 2025.
- BR-110: Saturday 18 July 2026.
The 2027 date comes with the 2027 notification and is printed on every ticket. The BR-110 sheet was generated at 5:05 PM on draw day. The BR-104 sheet came at 5:22 PM. This page adds a next-draw box at the top once the date is in our calendar.
What did the Monsoon Bumper 2026 notification fix?
The Monsoon Bumper 2026 notification fixed a ₹250 ticket, 45 lakh tickets and ₹30.85 crore in prize money. The Government of Kerala issued it as G.O.(P) No.58/2026/TAXES. The Kerala Gazette carried it two months before the draw.
- Ticket price: ₹250, a face value of ₹178.57 plus 40% Goods and Services Tax.
- Tickets printed: 45,00,000 (forty five lakh).
- Gross value: ₹80,35,65,000.
- Prize money: ₹30,85,25,000 across 3,05,120 prizes.
- Series: 5, MA, MB, MC, MD and ME.
The ₹250 ticket costs 5 times a weekly ticket of ₹50. Its first prize is 10 times the weekly first prize. The four 2026 notifications we hold rank the bumpers by prize money. Christmas-New Year offers ₹93.22 crore and Vishu ₹44.96 crore. Pooja offers ₹39.11 crore and Monsoon ₹30.85 crore.
What is the Monsoon Bumper prize structure?
The Monsoon Bumper has 8 prize tiers plus a consolation prize. Only the first 4 tiers need the full ticket number. The 2026 notification lists them as follows.
- 1st prize: ₹10 crore, 1 ticket across all series.
- 2nd prize: ₹10 lakh, 5 tickets, one in each series.
- 3rd prize: ₹5 lakh, 5 tickets, one in each series.
- 4th prize: ₹3 lakh, 5 tickets, one in each series.
- 5th prize: ₹5,000, last four digits drawn 30 times.
- 6th prize: ₹1,000, last four digits drawn 90 times.
- 7th prize: ₹500, last four digits drawn 252 times.
- 8th prize: ₹250, last four digits drawn 306 times.
- Consolation prize: ₹1 lakh, 4 tickets.
Why is the Monsoon Bumper second prize only ₹10 lakh?
The Monsoon Bumper puts ₹10 crore of its ₹30.85 crore prize money into one first prize. That leaves less for the tiers below. Its ₹10 lakh second prize is one hundredth of the first prize. A weekly Kerala lottery pays ₹25 lakh or ₹30 lakh as its second prize.
The second prize was ₹10 lakh in BR-98, BR-104 and BR-110 alike. One change came lower down. The ₹1,000 prize had 144 endings drawn in BR-104 and 90 in BR-110.
What does “up to” mean for the four-digit prizes?
The phrase “up to” marks the maximum number of winning tickets. 45 lakh tickets over 10,000 endings means 450 tickets share each ending. The 5th prize drew 30 endings, so up to 13,500 tickets win ₹5,000. The 8th prize of ₹250 returns the ticket price.
Which tickets won the last three Monsoon Bumpers?
The last three ₹10 crore first prizes went to MD 769524, MC 678572 and MC 576896. Two of the three came from the MC series. The official sheets give the place of sale, not the winner.
