Kerala Lottery Results in the Kerala Government Gazette

The Kerala Government Gazette publishes Kerala lottery results as notices of the Kerala State Lotteries Department in Part III. It prints bumper lottery notifications in its Extraordinary issues. Both are digitally signed and verifiable on the Gazette portal.

Does the Kerala Gazette publish lottery results?

Yes. The Kerala Gazette publishes Kerala lottery results in Part III, under the Kerala State Lotteries Department. Rule 8 of the Kerala Paper Lotteries (Regulation) Rules 2005 requires it. The results go to leading newspapers the next day and to the Government Gazette.

Part III carries notifications by Heads of Departments. The Kerala Gazette No. 8 of 22 February 2022 shows the format. Its Part III section, headed “Kerala State Lotteries Department”, prints full weekly results.

The Gazette is the official journal of the Government of Kerala. It is published by authority, by the Superintendent of Government Presses at the Government Central Press, Thiruvananthapuram.

What does a Kerala Gazette lottery result notice contain?

A Gazette result notice contains the full result of one draw, as on the official result sheet. It gives every prize, the series and the place of sale. The Deputy Director of the Directorate of State Lotteries signs it.

The 2022 issue prints the Nirmal NR-256 result under file number Pub.2/1/2021/SLTY, dated 24 December 2021. It holds these parts:

  • Heading: “Results of Nirmal Lottery No. NR-256th draw held on 24-12-2021, 3 PM”.
  • Venue: “At Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram”.
  • Top prizes: the 1st prize of ₹70 lakh to NA 120995 (Pattambi), with consolation numbers.
  • Series prizes: the 3rd prize of ₹1 lakh in each series, with places.
  • Endings: the lower prizes “for the tickets ending with the following numbers”.
  • Claim line: the surrender period in force at the time, 30 days.
  • Signature: the Deputy Director, Directorate of State Lotteries.

The same issue carries the Karunya KR-529 draw of 25 December 2021. It carries the Win-Win W-648 draw of 27 December 2021. Win-Win is the lottery now named Bhagyathara. Nirmal is now Suvarna Keralam.

The claim period has changed since 2021. Every current result sheet prints 90 days.

How long after the draw does a result reach the Kerala Gazette?

A result reaches the Kerala Gazette weeks after the draw, not on the same day. The NR-256 draw of 24 December 2021 appeared in the Gazette of 22 February 2022. That gap was 60 days.

The weekly Gazette comes out once a week, so a result waits for an issue. The official result sheet comes out the same afternoon. Across the last 40 weekly draws, the official sheet was generated between 4:30 PM and 4:47 PM.

The 2022 example is one issue. No official source fixes a set delay for every result.

What other Kerala lottery notices appear in the Gazette?

The Gazette carries 2 notifications before each bumper lottery, in its Extraordinary issues. They come from the Taxes Department. The central Lotteries (Regulation) Rules 2010 require them.

Notice Gazette What it holds Example
Result notice Weekly Gazette, Part III Full result of a draw NR-256, Gazette of 22 February 2022
Rule 3(3) notification Extraordinary Price, tickets printed, gross value, prize structure, place and draw procedure Vishu Bumper BR-109: G.O.(P) No.49/2026/TAXES, Gazette No. 1314, 23 March 2026
Rule 3(2) notification Extraordinary Purpose, scope and limitation, and methods of the lottery BR-109: G.O.(P) No.50/2026/TAXES, Gazette No. 1315, 23 March 2026

The rule 3(3) notification is the source of the draw procedure. It names the random mechanical device, the panel of judges and the drums-and-coins fallback. It names the distributor, the Kerala State Lottery Agents’ and Sellers’ Welfare Fund Board.

Other examples are the Christmas-New Year Bumper 2025-26, G.O.(P) No.195/2025/TAXES of 19 November 2025. The Pooja Bumper 2026 notification is G.O.(P) No.86/2026/TAXES of 19 September 2026. The Directorate’s website hosts these files under its prize structure section.

How do you find a Kerala lottery result in the Kerala Gazette?

To find a lottery result in the Gazette, search the Kerala Gazette portal, compose.kerala.gov.in. The Printing Department runs it. It holds weekly and extraordinary gazettes.

  1. Open compose.kerala.gov.in, the COMPOSE Kerala Gazette portal.
  2. Choose “eGazette Search” to reach published gazettes.
  3. Pick a weekly Gazette dated weeks after your draw.
  4. Open Part III and find the Kerala State Lotteries Department section.
  5. Look for the heading with your lottery name and draw number.
  6. Use the portal’s archive link for gazettes from before October 2021.

Bumper notifications are found the same way, in the Extraordinary gazettes. Search by the G.O. number, such as G.O.(P) No.49/2026/TAXES.

Why does the result sheet tell winners to check the Gazette?

The result sheet points to the Gazette because the Gazette is the formal published record of the result. Its last page advises prize winners to verify the winning numbers with the Kerala Government Gazette.

The same line sets the claim limit of 90 days. A prize claim starts from the original ticket and the official result. The Gazette confirms the record afterwards.

Is a “Gazette PDF” on a results website the Kerala Gazette?

No. A “Gazette PDF” on a results website is the daily result sheet, not the Gazette. Some results sites label the official sheet “Official Result Gazette PDF”. The sheet and the Gazette are different documents.

Feature Official result sheet Kerala Gazette
Heading Kerala State Lotteries – Result Kerala Gazette, published by authority
