Why does a bumper day replace a weekly draw?
On a bumper day, the bumper takes the slot of that weekday’s lottery. The pattern holds in every 2026 bumper sheet we checked. 5 bumpers fell on a Saturday in 2026, and Karunya was skipped each time.
Bumper draws start at 2:00 PM, an hour before the usual 3:00 PM weekly draw. Both take place at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram. The weekly lottery of that day returns the following week.

What does a no-draw day look like on the sheets?
The Suvarna Keralam sheets show it clearly. SK-71 was drawn on Friday 25 September 2026. Its next-draw line named Friday 9 October, not 2 October. SK-72 follows on 9 October, with no SK draw in between.
Does a skipped draw change the draw numbers?
No. The draw number continues from the last draw held. A skipped week gets no number. Karunya KR-769 was drawn on 19 September 2026, and KR-770 on 3 October 2026.
Draw codes therefore count draws held, not weeks passed. A result claiming a draw code for a no-draw day is not genuine.
Do public holidays stop Kerala lottery draws?
Some do, and the next-draw line is the only reliable proof. Our sheets show 1 holiday skip so far: Gandhi Jayanti, 2 October 2026. Other holidays have no sheet evidence in the data this site holds.
Our sheet records start on 23 August 2026. Holidays before that date, such as Independence Day, are not listed here. Some websites publish full holiday lists. Those lists carry no official sheet behind them.
What happens to claim dates around a no-draw day?
Nothing changes. Each claim period runs 90 days from the ticket’s own draw date. A skipped draw has no tickets to claim. The next draw sets its own claim date.
